Global fitness equipment manufacturer Dyaco has unveiled a range of specialist medical and rehabilitation equipment for UK healthcare providers and physiotherapy facilities.
The equipment from Dyaco-owned Spirit Medical Systems Group, includes Lower Body Ergometers, Total Body Steppers and a Gait Trainer Treadmill. The equipment was developed using rehabilitation strategies and technologies that address a multitude of patient deficiencies to enhance recovery outcomes.
The new products follow the launch of the Dyaco International Commercial & Medical Division in January this year and all equipment has Class 1 – IEC60601 certification and are in the process of going through Class 2 testing.
Andy Loughray, Dyaco UK Sales Director, comments:
Following a fast-paced start to 2018, we’re delighted to launch this comprehensive range of medical fitness equipment to the UK healthcare market. Specialist medical products can bring enormous benefits to patient rehabilitation and recovery that traditional fitness equipment is just not able to provide. With tailored adjustments and specialist features, our products enable clinicians and therapists the ability to bespoke physical therapy programmes for an individual’s specific needs.
Dyaco’s dedicated Medical Division assures customers of premium quality. Our experience, expertise, extensive academic partnerships and clinical collaborations have been utilized to develop these ground-breaking products.”
Setting the equipment aside from its competitors, the ergometers and steppers provide symmetry measurements to the user. These measure the amount of power being generated by the left and right side individually as the products are being pedaled. This symmetry feedback is presented both graphically and numerically.
All equipment comes with a data output function that provides the physio with all of the critical data from a patient session.
MU100 – Upright Lower Body Ergometer
The MU100 addresses lower-body conditioning with advanced options for optimal knee positioning. Clinicians can input desired knee flexion angles and the software prescribes the pedal and seat’s optimal fore/aft position. Variables such as body symmetry and limb length can be adjusted so that clinicians can finely tailor the equipment to every patient’s needs.
MR100 – Semi-Recumbent Lower Body Ergometer
The MR100’s recumbent design pays particular attention to hip and lower body joint mobility, allowing optimal rehabilitation in a relaxed posture. Users can input desired knee flexion angles and the software prescribes the pedal and seat’s optimal fore/aft position. Again, variables such as body symmetry and limb length can be adjusted to enable clinicians to finely tailor to the equipment.
MS300 – Recumbent Total Body Stepper
The MS300 facilitates full body exercise in coordinated, linear, natural 1:1 leg and arm motion. Self-adjustable stroke length accommodates patients’ specific range of motion capabilities, providing low impact movement for knees, ankles and hips in a safe semi-recumbent position.
MS350 – Semi-Recumbent Total Body Stepper (Wheelchair accessible)
The MS350 adjustable seat not only provides a customized fit but is also removable for wheelchair access. Patients can experience full body exercise through coordinated, linear and natural 1:1 leg and arm motion. Self-adjustable stroke length accommodates patients’ specific range of motion capabilities, providing low impact movement for knees, ankles and hips in a safe semi-recumbent position.
MT200 – Gait Trainer Treadmill
The MT200 features a one speed control motor, an incline motor and a decline motor. Three motors together help users to achieve bi-directional training in combination with uphill or downhill protocols. Adding more versatility to exercise and therapy options, the parallel bars, deck height, and belt speed acceleration are adjustable in small and precise increments.
